The Zell-Gerlos hiking area offers you the best trails to experience the awakening Alpine peaks in all their splendour. An unforgettable start to the day, surrounded by nature’s tranquillity. Late risers need not worry about missing out - the views from the peaks are absolutely magical at any time of day.

High up on the Isskogel
The trail to the Isskogel is more than just a hike; it is a journey of discovery through the heart of the Alps. Past babbling brooks and lush Alpine meadows, the route takes you to unique vantage points. Let the Isskogel cable car take you to heights where the world seems to lie beneath you. Your feet will carry you up the last 300 metres in altitude from the mountain station. The great thing about hiking on the mountain is that you are always rewarded with great views from the top.
Pure joie de vivre at the Durlaßboden reservoir in Gerlos
Follow the call of the Durlaßboden reservoir, a glittering blue jewel surrounded by lush meadows and noble mountains. The loop trail around the lake is mostly flat and suitable for all levels. A hike here is like an embrace of nature that revitalises your soul. As you circle the lake, you can keep an eye out for a comfortable place to stop for a bite to eat. You can round off your hike with some fun on a pedalo or stand-up paddle, for example. The Durlaßboden reservoir is a great source of summer activities.

When you look out of the windows of the Fräulein Nannerl, you are looking directly at our wonderful home valley, the Schönachtal. It captivates with its colourful Alpine pastures and crystal-clear mountain lakes - a paradise for anyone who appreciates pure mountain air and unspoilt nature.
Lush meadows and wild, romantic streams await you in the Krummbach valley, ideal for a refreshing hike off the beaten track. The Wimmertal invites you along its quiet trails that meander through lush Alpine meadows, where the silence is only interrupted by the gentle ringing of cowbells. In the Schwarzwachtal valley, you will find deep tranquillity under the shade of old trees, a perfect place for extended contemplation in nature.
Krimml Waterfalls
Visit the Krimml Waterfalls, one of the most spectacular natural wonders in the Zillertal. Here, the water plunges down in thundering cascades and offers a breathtaking spectacle. The trail along the largest waterfalls in Europe allows you to experience this natural phenomenon up close, while the fine water mist provides a welcome refreshment.

Loop trail to Latschensee
The mysterious Latschensee on the Isskogel is a place of longing, hidden in the depths of the Zillertal Alps. Your hike there leads through a mosaic of colourful fields and past gently bubbling brooks. A place where time seems to stand still and nature is close enough to touch. The legend and contemplation trail leads you to Latschensee, which is lined with artfully placed quotes for reflection and boards full of stories from the region.
